Today, Governor Newsom designated Alioto to serve as Chairman of the California Occupational Safety & Health (CalOSHA) Standards Board. The CalOSHA Standards Board is charged with protecting California’s workers by passing safety and health regulations. The Governor appointed Alioto to serve as the Board’s Public Member in September 2023. Alioto previously served on the California State Coastal Conservancy from 2020 to 2023.
